  • It means that at the moment, I’m unable to accept new tattoo projects or consultations. I am currently booking in three month increments. As soon as my schedule allows for new projects, I will announce this on social media as well as send out a newsletter to everyone on my mailing list.

  • Make sure to sign up for my post notifications on Instagram (@jessicadoyle) and my mailing list! From there, I will post instructions on what you will need to do. A submission form will be posted on the main page of my website as well as my social media at that time only.

    Due to the volume of submissions, I do my best to accommodate those projects who fit my style and schedule best.

    If your project is something that I don’t think I would be suited to my style, I will let you know via email as soon as I finish reading submissions. You won’t be left waiting if it’s a no.

    If you don’t hear back from me at all, I promise its nothing personal - I am a one-woman show, and I do my best to juggle tattooing, drawing & running my business (and the occasional sleeping & eating). I’m not joking when I say I wish I could tattoo everyone who wants to get tattooed by me, so I appreciate your patience!

    Please don’t be discouraged if you are unable to book with me right away - I encourage you to resubmit when my books open up again. I do keep track of times of submissions and do my best to keep this in mind when selecting projects for the next round of bookings.

  • You’ll get an email from me and we’ll set you up for a phone or video consultation! Make sure you’ve sent all your photos over in advance and/or have all your references uploaded to your Pinterest Board you submitted in your request and are ready to finalize your ideas with me. From there we will grab a deposit from you and either finalize a time or put you on the booking list for the next 3 month booking period.

  • I do not have a waitlist/cancellation list - I have found it a bit too hectic to maintain & keep up-to-date. Your best bet is to keep an eye on my Instagram for any last-minute slots/cancellations.

  • Sometimes things happen! We ask that everyone gives one weeks notice at minimum to reschedule an appointment. Anything less will result in a forfeit of deposit and a new one will be required to rebook.

    All rescheduled appointments are subject to a rescheduling fee (Artist discretion).

    As a booked client you can reschedule one time with notice. This includes pushing to a further booking period.

    If you are more than 20-minutes late to your appointment, without sending me an email, your appointment may be cancelled and your deposit may be forfeited.

  • Because we carefully allot appointments to specific booking periods, if you need to delay your appointment and want to be moved to a future booking period this would be considered a “reschedule.” As per our reschedule policy, every appointment is allowed one reschedule and if the appointment is rescheduled for a second time the deposit would be forfeited and a new deposit would be required to stay on the booking list. Please be aware of this when committing to a booking period.

  • At my home studio, my hourly rate for multi session projects is $220 plus GST. Blackwork pieces done in a single session are usually quoted at a flat rate. My minimum charge is $220 CAD plus GST.

    For large scale pieces I like to book a full day session to make the most of our time. You will be quoted a day rate during your consultation.

    Unless we’ve had a consultation, I am unable to provide you with an exact quote, as it is dependent on the size/complexity of the piece.

    Guest spots at other shops or tattoo convention pricing are generally priced at a flat rate depending on the piece.

    If you are booked for a consultation, please be prepared to leave a minimum $200 CAD deposit to secure your appointment. Anything larger than an 1-2 hours requires a larger deposit of $300 CAD or more.

  • Cash as the preferred method of payment but I also accept Etransfer or PayPal via the friend and family option. Payment is due immediately following your appointment.

  • I will have your drawing ready for the day of your appointment. If we need to make any small changes on the day of, that’s fine! I want you to be 100% happy with your piece.

    I always make sure to have very thorough consultations, so if you have any change of ideas other than what we chatted about at the consult, please let me know a minimum of 7 days prior to your appointment.

    Any major re-draws may result in rescheduling your appointment and require a new deposit. Large re-draws may result in a half rate fee for drawing time. It will be under my full discretion & judgment on what is considered a major re-draw.

  • You must be 18+ even if your parents consent! This applies during my guest spots as well.

    (I promise it’s worth the wait - it will be on you forever!)

  • No. Out of an abundance of caution, I do not tattoo anyone that is pregnant or nursing.

  • Please contact me within 6-12 weeks after your tattoo appointment if you think you might need a touch-up. Don’t worry if my books are closed - we will find a time for you!

    Free touch-ups apply to anything that did not heal properly, or healed a bit light during the healing process. There is a $40 supply fee setup charge for all appointments to be paid in advance upon booking.

    If proper aftercare was not followed, or your tattoo has faded naturally from aging (or sun), the usual hourly rate will be charged for your touch-up.

    *Finger tattoos and some feet tattoos are exempt from free touch-ups and are always charged at a 50% rate due to the nature of the skin there for an initial touch up. Following touch up sessions will be at my usual hourly rate.*

  • It depends! In order to properly go over pre-existing tattoos, cover-ups need to be larger, darker, and have a lot of texture. My blackwork style doesn’t work for cover-ups very well unless the previous tattoo is either quite small or light. Doing a colour cover-up opens up a lot more possibilities!

    Feel free to email me a photo of your existing tattoo with a brief description of what you would like to cover it with. From there, I can let you know if a cover-up is possible, or if I would recommend a session or two of laser removal to lighten it. I recommend Molly at Illume Laser here in Calgary to help you out.   • Depending on my schedule, I can sometimes accommodate small tattoos. Anything custom does have to wait until my books open again.

    Small tattoos would be something like a small symbol, or a few words of script. If this is what you’re looking for, please email me with exactly what you have in mind and your general availability and I will do my best to fit you in. I can also highly recommend all my other artist at The Terrace to fit you in for smaller tattoos!

  • Flash days are times when I will have a selection of small to medium sized pieces pre-drawn & available to be tattooed on that day only! I have one off pieces, and will also have a selection of repeatable flash available starting this year in 2024.

  • I’ll post on Instagram (@jessicadoyle) and through my Newsletter about the dates and times of Flash Days, so keep an eye on there if you’re interested!

    I post all the designs on my Instagram along with the link for the form to enter into the draw.

    I’ll leave the designs up for a short while after the drop. After that, names are chosen and then the whole day is booked and scheduled. If your name is chosen, you’ll have 15 minutes to confirm your spot and send over a deposit via e-transfer (all information will be sent to you) .

    I am constantly trying to find better ways to streamline this process, so keep an eye on Instagram for posts with specifics leading up to each Flash Day!

  • Tips are never expected but always appreciated, and come in all forms (monetary, gifts etc). Monetary tips are usually similar what you would tip your hairstylist or other service provider.
